*Terms and Conditions:

1. Warranty of the cycle is for 12 Months or 12000 kms whichever occurs earlier from the date of purchase by customer.

2. The warranty will be valid only if the customer is having the valid purchase invoice and the warranty card duly filled and stamped by an authorised dealer.

3. Motovolt Mobility Pvt Ltd. provides warranty on every new Motovolt Electric Bicycle frame and all electric parts against defects in workmanship and materials. The frame and electronic parts have a warranty of 12 months. Except charger which is having 6 months warranty.

4. Claims under the warranty need to be directly made to Motovolt Mobility Pvt. Ltd.

5. Damages that may have occurred to the electric cycle in transit at the time of delivery must be reported within 24 hours of receiving the electric cycle at your delivery address.

6. Claim Process: Customers will have to contact Motovolt through the helpline number 07949107107 or on the Motovolt App to obtain a service request number and to determine if the warranty is applicable in their case. Warranty claims which have not been authorized by Motovolt will not be accepted.

7. Repair under warranty: Motovolt authorised dealers or service team will repair or replace the electronic parts or frame determined defective by Motovolt due to faulty workmanship or problem in material from the factory, free of cost.

8. Exclusions from warranty: The warranty will not cover the repair or replacement of any damaged part if the damage is a result of an abuse or neglect.

Examples of abuse or neglect includes but are not limited to

  • a. Racing or competition use, modification of original parts, or abnormal strain.
  • b. Lack of proper maintenance as described in the Instruction Manual, installation of parts or accessories not equivalent in design and quality to genuine Motovolt parts.
  • c. Use of lubricants that are not suitable for Motovolt E-Cycles.
  • d. Damage from accidents, collisions, road hazards, or operating on surfaces not intended for cycles (e.g., stairs); also damage from salt air, saltwater, bird droppings, or chemicals.
  • e. Temporary decrease in power or range may occur due to conditions like temperature, load, terrain, frequent starts/stops, and battery performance variations.
  • f. Electrical issues due to overload, battery idle for more than 7 days, or improper use/charging of the battery. Warranty will be void in such conditions.
  • g. Battery not charged regularly, resulting in it being dead or in sleep mode.
  • h. Normal battery deterioration over time or usage (12 months/12000 km or extended warranty of 24/36 months).
  • i. Other wear and tear including fading of surfaces, cracking in tyres/tubes.

9. The warranty becomes void if any electronic system configurations are altered. In adherence to the traffic rules & regulations, the electric speed limit is locked at 25 km/h. Any modification to this speed limit configuration will lead to void of the warranty.

10. Warranty will not be applicable for Tyre, Tube, Chain, Ball Bearing, Fork, Spokes, Paddle Gears, Side stand, Brake Pads, Brake Callipers and aesthetic parts like; Reflectors, Frame stickers, Saddle Seat, Grips, Backrest, Mudguard, Hanger, and Seat Post.

11. Parts replaced due to normal wear and tear or routine maintenance such as tyres, tubes, cables, grips, brake pads, baskets, pedals, fuses, spokes, lenses, light bulbs, springs, chains, packing, the sprocket, and tension assembly of the torque sensor will be charged to the customers. Charges for transporting the Motovolt E-Cycle to and from an authorized Motovolt dealer or service centre are excluded from warranty coverage.

12. All service Complaints must be registered with Motovolt Mobility Pvt. Ltd. through an e-mail sent to hello@motovolt.co or call on IVR number 07949107107, Customers must ensure to avail the app facility of any issues raised.

13. MOTOVOLT MOBILITY PVT. LTD. holds the rights of warranty discretion to customer and would keep the data of the customer purely to its own jurisdiction.

14. Extended warranty only covers the Rear Motor, controller, battery, and display. The extended warranty can be purchased within 90 days from the date of Purchase of the e-cycle after which the extended warranty cannot be availed by the customers.

15. All manufacturing defect replacement accessories will be warranted for 1 month. Any customer mishandling or abuse (alteration) would not be considered under the terms and conditions of warranty. For bag locks, once the customers alter the lock combination. Motovolt Mobility will not be liable for warranty of the misplaced locking combination.

16. Motovolt will not be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damage even if Motovolt is informed that such damages might be possible.

17. Transfer of Warranty: Transfer of the warranty from the original purchaser to any subsequent purchaser is possible. The original purchaser along with the person to whom the transfer is being made will have to visit the nearest Motovolt authorised dealer or shop together and submit proof of transfer for the same to be implemented.
